just yesterday, one of the brightest director of current generation ‘the’ Christopher Nolan had celebrated birthday.
contrary to belief of some self proclaimed ‘know-all clan’, i love his work immensely. in my 16 years of writing career, only twice i have written trilogy of articles dedicated to single movie.
and both happened to be Nolan films : “the dark knight” and “the inception” !
he is man of between the lines subtexts. though he lacks range of almighty Spielberg, he has mighty depth in his comfort zone.
in my last “dark knight rises” post, i have mentioned that film is nice and watchable more than once with all its flaws, many people read it hurriedly, as usual without even trying to understand the direction i was pointing at. (btw, as expected by me TDKR fells well short in BO collection of TDK)
but, this post is not for serious discussion but celebration. so lets have fun.

Dev Mehta નોલન પ્રેમી પંખા ઓ (fan) ને એક વાત જાણવાની જરૂર છે કે memento (2000) એ memento mori નામ ની એક short story પર થી બન્યું છે જે christopher nolan ના નાના ભાઈ jonathan nolan લખી છે the prestige(2006) ની script પણ jonathan nolan લખી છે i dark knight (2008) dark knight rises (2012) ની screen play માં પણ jonathan nolan નું નામ છે. મિત્રો જો કોઈ ને જય ભાઈ ની દેવ આનંદ ના કરિશ્મા પાછળ રહેલા વિજય આનંદ ની વાત યાદ હોય તો એક વાત જણાવી દવ કે christopher nolan ના કરિશ્મા ની પાછળ જોનાથન નોલન નો હાથ પણ છે.

Although from last few years my trust and interest for american movies has decreased due to many reasons (I hv found many very good factors in south korean -mexican-tamil-telugu-german-argentian etc movies that can beat hollyw
ood movies on merit),I surely agree that Mr Nolan is one of most intelligent director working now.And not saying just because of inception-batman & dark knights -memento-the prestige,bt if u look at his 1st film -following 1998- where young writer follows strangers for material meets a thief nd look at his very dark 3 min short film,that nolan has certainly recognized hidden power-capability- depth intensity of humans.
